MANILA - The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority on Wednesday advised motorists to take alternate roads during routine repair works, as it released the schedule for the first 10 months of 2020.
Road re-blocking will be implemented in various cities in Metro Manila for repairs starting 11 p.m. of Jan. 29, the MMDA said in an advisory.
Concerned agencies will undertake construction work in the following road sections:
• Along C5, Ortigas flyover
For the rehabilitation and major repair of C5 Ortigas Flyover on weekdays from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. from Jan. 29 until July 20 for a total of 180 days (except weekends and holidays)
• Along EDSA Northbound, near corner Taft Ave., Pasay City
Temporary use of one lane for deliveries of material/concrete pouring from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. of Jan. 29 until Feb. 4 or a total of 7 days
• Along EDSA Southbound in front of AMA Towers Residences Building Mandaluyong City
For the proposed removal and dismantling of existing steel safety canopy from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. of Jan. 29 to Feb. 4 or a total of 7 days
• Oroquieta Street C164.50 to C439.80 (SO2422LZ) Sampaloc Manila
For the rehabilitation of Oroquieta Street and its drainage system from 11 p.m. on all Fridays until 5 a.m. Mondays from Jan. 31 to Oct. 26, 2020 or a total of 270 days
• R. Magsaysay Blvd. and R. Magsaysay Service Road (C 712.00 to 1097.00 and C783.00 to 1077)
For the rehabilitation of R. Magsaysay Blvd and R. Magsaysay service road and its drainage system on weekends from 11 p.m. Fridays until 5 a.m. Mondays from Jan. 29 to June 26 or a total of 150 days
"Motorists are advised to take alternate routes instead," the MMDA said.
