MANILA- The consolation prize for the 6-digit lotto games will be increased to P24 from P20, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said Tuesday.
The PCSO said its board of directors recently approved the “Balik-taya”, or the increase in the consolation prize, to encourage the betting public to bet again once they hit 3 out of 6 numbers in every lotto result.
The resolution, however, still needs to be approved by the PCSO general manager before it can be implemented.
PCSO Assistant General Manager Arnel Casas said the increase was brought about by public clamor following the increase in betting prices mandated by the tax reform law. -report from April Rafales, ABS-CBN News
