Lotto sales hit all-time high of P11.7-B in 2012

MANILA, Philippines - Lotto fever reached a new high in the country in 2012.

In a disclosure to the stock exchange, online lottery systems provider Pacific Online Systems Corp. reported that the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) sales of lotto and keno hit an all-time high of P11.7 billion in 2012.

This is 23% higher than the previous year and the highest in Pacific Online's history.

Pacific Online currently has 3,035 terminals selling various lottery games, while its subsidiary Total Gaming Technologies has 704 terminals offering the keno game.

Pacific Online has been the PCSO's systems provider since 1996.

In the first 9 months of 2012, Pacific Online reported a net income of P281.2 million, 58% higher than the previous year.
