MANILA - A common station connecting the capital’s three main railways will finally begin construction this year after rival businessmen signed a memorandum of agreement to end a seven-year-long dispute.

The structure between the SM North EDSA and Ayala Land’s Trinoma will be shared by LRT-1, MRT-3 and the soon to be built MRT-7. Construction for the common station will begin later this year.

SM took the government to court after it moved the station to Trinoma from SM North.

The company will execute a waiver to pave the way for the lifting of a restraining order that prevents construction. -- reports from Zen Hernandez, ABS-CBN News
