The Department of Transportation and Communications will schedule another round of public consultations to discuss the proposed Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) fare hike.

According to Transportation Secretary Jun Abaya, a lot of things have already changed, thus the need to review figures for the pending fare increase.

Moreover, Abaya said he will be having a meeting with other economic managers to discuss the timeliness of the fare increase since there are also pending hike petitions on toll, while other services like water and electricity have already been hiked.
