MANILA -- Cebu Pacific, the Philippines' largest airline, said operations were "back to normal" on Tuesday, after 3 days of cancellations due to the eruption of Taal volcano.

The airline cleaned all of its jets that were coated by Taal's ash and aimed to re-book or refund passengers of canceled flights in a day or 2, said its spokesperson Charo Logarta-Lagamon.

"Ililipad po natin sila. We just have to, kumbaga, hanapan sila ng espasyo (We will fly them. We just have to find them space)," she told radio DZMM.

Taal in Batangas province spewed a giant ash column on Sunday, with the debris reaching as far as Metro Manila. The Ninoy Aquino International Airport did not open until noon Monday.

Philippine Airlines said it was "gradually reverting to normal operations." The flag carrier said fleet redistribution, safety checks and airport slotting to bring it back on schedule "will take time."

The following flights on Tuesday, Jan. 14, were cancelled, airlines and authorities earlier said.
