MANILA, Philippines - The impasse between San Miguel Corp.-backed Citra Metro Manila Tollways Corp.  (CMMTC) and Manuel V. Pangilinan's Metro Pacific Tollways Corp. (MPTC) has been resolved, according to Transportation Secretary Joseph Emilio Abaya. This over the construction of the common alignment of the North Luzon Expressway and South Luzon Expressway connector road

Abaya said the Toll Regulatory Board will formalize a compromise between the two proposals.

However, he declined to give details since the agreement will still have to be approved by President Aquino.

The common segment is a 5-kilometer road from Buendia, Makati to Polytechnic University of the Philippines in Sta. Mesa, Manila. Previously the common alignment covered only Buendia to Plaza Dilao, Manila.

This road will then lead to two separate connector roads. - With ANC
