With the hospitality industry around the world still reeling from the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic, it’s good to hear one of our hotels here in the Philippines isn’t only proving its resilience in these unprecedented times, it’s also gaining recognition while doing so.
Nüwa at City of Dreams Manila has achieved two Five Stars in the 2021 Forbes Travel Guide (FTG) Awards for its hotel and spa. Both have maintained this rating for the fourth and second consecutive year respectively, since 2018.
The awards garnered this year are an additional affirmation, after having received the Sharecare Health Security VERIFIED with Forbes Travel Guide certification, for its compliance with expert-validated best practices on health and safety protocols. Nüwa was said to be one of the first hotels in the world to achieve this.
According to the Forbes Travel Guide website, the comprehensive assessment for the verification covers health and hygiene protocols, cleaning products and procedures, masks and PPE, ventilation, management accountability, and health safety communication with guests and employees.
Nüwa Manila features 254 well-appointed contemporary rooms with spacious suites and villas, and a dedicated butler service. It houses Crystal Dragon, renowned for premium Cantonese and regional Chinese specialties; Crystal Lounge, a lounge and bar offering Asian and Western-inspired light meals and cocktails; Li Ying Hin, an exclusive sky gaming lounge; and Breezes, a poolside restaurant and bar next to the free-form swimming pool, which features cabanas and a heated whirlpool exclusive for cabana guests.
Nüwa Spa, on the other hand, promises a rejuvenating experience in its two elegant suites, calming therapy and relaxation rooms, a vitality pool, and aroma steam room within the relaxing 654-sqm space.
Two other hotels in City of Dreams were also recognized by the only global rating system for luxury hotels, restaurants, and spas—the Hyatt Regency Manila and Nobu Hotel Manila, with Four Star for four years running.
