This Patek Philippe sold for nearly P3 million at yesterday's Finale Auctions

The top performing watches at yesterday's Finale Auctions, Watches & Jewelry edition.

The much anticipated Finale Auctions happened just this weekend with nary a sensational headline to drum up interest. Still, the results are quite satisfactory, with its star, the Rolex Paul Newman 6240 selling for close to P19,000,000 which is not far from its estimate price. These are the top 5 performing watches from yesterday's auction Watches & Jewelry auction. 

  

1. Lot 106 - Rolex Paul Newman 6240.

Hammer price plus buyers premium: Php 18,688,000.00

Movement: Automatic, self-winding

Dial: Black tri-color dial with applied luminescent hour markers and steel hands, red minute track, three white sub-dials indicating seconds, minutes, hours, central chronograph hand

Case: Stainless steel, acrylic tachymeter bezel, 37.5mm

Bracelet: Original stainless steel Rolex bracelet with folding clasp.

 

2. Lot 17 - Rolex GMT Reference 1675 blueberry.

Hammer price plus buyers premium: Php 2,920,000.00

Movement: Automatic, self-winding

Dial: Black with applied luminous triangle, dot, baton markers, luminous Mercedes hands, sweep center seconds, red 24-hour hand, magnified date.

Case: Stainless steel, bi-directional rotating blue bezel, 40 mm

3. Lot 21 - Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar Chronograph Reference: 5271P.

This is a tropical gilt underline dial that was only produced for one year. 

 

5. Patek Philippe Nautilus Reference 5712.

Dial: Black-Blue dial with applied gold luminous hands and baton hour markers, power reserve Indicator 2 sub-dials indicating moon phases, calendar, seconds

The Nautilus is a sports model from Patek. It’s one of the most desirable contemporary luxury sports watches in the world. Normally it would take months or even years for one to avail of this from a boutique. The waiting list is very long.
