The last quarter of the year is usually the busiest when it comes to new restaurant openings and this year is no exception. Here’s a list of 12 food haunts set to conquer your Instagram feeds:

Bar Centrale

After opening around eight Spanish concepts, the dynamic Bistronomia group (Las Flores, Rambla, BCN by Rambla, La Lola) decided it was time to go Italian for a change, starting with an artisan pasta bar opening in Salcedo Village by October, followed by another Italian concept called Osteria Daniele in BGC this December or January 2019.

Chuck’s Deli

The new Chuck’s Deli in Poblacion Cyrene de la Rosa

This popular sandwich joint known for its hefty “slabwiches” is set to reopen this September in Poblacion after being closed for almost 4 years.

Elbert’s Pizzeria

The Steak Room Concepts group of Elbert Cuenca took over the old Hooch space in V Corporate Center in Salcedo Village, Makati to open a Napoli-style pizzeria that will be serving Passalacqua espresso as well as Menabrea Beer. Expect it in late October or early November.

Made Nice

The former Made Nice Supper Club of Legaspi Village reopens later this year at Sarsa Rockwell’s old spot with the promise of a little less traffic, a little more parking, and a bathroom! Together with good food MADE NICEr.

A new French restaurant that will be specializing in modern French cuisine is set to join the eclectic mix of restaurants now cooking at the Grand Midori on Bolanos Street, Legaspi Village, Makati. With Elbert Cuenca, Alain Borgers, and Joël Robuchon-trained Chef Miko Calo on board, Metronome takes over the spot vacated by Allium and Hibana.

Ministry of Crab

Sri Lankan crabs are the “stars of the show” at what will be the first branch of Ministry of Crab (No. 25 on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list 2018) outside of Sri Lanka. It should be opening before the year ends at the Shangri-La Fort Hotel in BGC.

Think of Nama as Nikkei’s younger sibling—Peruvian Japanese food made more accessible in a hip new setting. It’s slated to open at the 2nd floor of One Bonifacio.

Opening in the heart of Poblacion, Makati this September is Nokal, which means “North of Kalayaan.” It’s a three-layer New York-inspired concept that will offer a wide array of favorite New York dishes executed by Made Nice’s Chef Raul Fores. They are also throwing in good music, cocktails, and a wide selection of draft beers for good measure.

Stvdio Lab

Dubbed as the crossroad were research, creativity, and hospitality meet, Stvdio Lab serves as the creative playground of Chef Chele Gonzalez and his team. It aims to provide a unique interactive experience limited to only 10 guests, in business just once every week. This intimate space is located right beside Gallery by Chele in BGC.

Wildflour Italian

The Wildflour Group is set to open four more restaurants before the year ends, which includes the reopening of the newly-renovated (and expanded!) Wildflour and Farmacy in their original Net Lima site in BGC this September. Also, watch out for a new “Italian” concept set to open around the end of the year.
