May 9, Sunday, is Mother’s Day. Because this year’s trip has been postponed to an undetermined date yet again, tell your mom you’ll just take her tastebuds on a transportive experience. We’ve given you the cakes, now here’s a list of savory treats representing different cuisines from around the world.

This comes in solo, sharing or family style sizes. Back for a limited time is this savory showstopper made of layers of Thai fried chicken, jasmine rice, and green papaya salad. Available for preorders (cut-off 12pm of the previous day) at 09177077459 and via www.thegridfoodmarket, and same-day order for take-out at Stall 16 of the Grid Foodmarket at Rockwell’s Powerplant Mall (give 1 – 2 hours lead time). They make only 8 cakes per day.
