Bidding for secondhand cars can be tricky business. But these days, there are venues, financial options, and events that are available to potential buyers to have the car of their dreams.
One such avenue is the HMR Auto Auction, which celebrated its third anniversary late last year by opening the country’s biggest purpose-built auto auction facility. Located in Bicutan, Parañaque, the property also played host to a car auction, HMR's biggest yet, with over 250 vehicles available for live public bidding.

The company first opened its doors in 2016 by establishing the first auto auction facility in the country and has since sold over 4,000 vehicles through its online and live public auctions. Its facility in Bicutan is fully air-conditioned registration and bidding area, and can hold up to 450 vehicles and accommodate up to 300 bidders. Here, buyers are provided a space to bid on a wide range of premium used vehicles.
The grand opening featured motorcycles, compacts, sedans, MPVs, pickup trucks, SUVs, and light commercial trucks from premium brands such as Mitsubishi, Ford, Toyota, Hyundai, Kia, Mazda, Nissan, Chevrolet, Foton, Honda, Peugeot and Suzuki, which sold for competitive prices.
Affordable finance options are also made possible through their partnership with UnionBank, with payments that can go as low as PHP 4,000 and a minimum down payment of 30 percent. The facility also offers insurance, detailing and repair services, making it a one-stop shop for newly auctioned cars.
HMR will have its next auto auction on January 18 at its newly opened facility, located at ACSIE Compound, KM 16 West Service Road, Parañaque, with over 100 cars up for bidding.
