After opening up their pre-orders on November 18, Smart Infinity finally launched Samsung’s folding flagship, the Galaxy Fold, in a midnight reveal for its most loyal subscribers. The launch came a day before the Galaxy Fold launched in local stores, allowing Infinity members to get the phone early.

Attendees were whisked away into Manila House Private Members Club, where they were graced by Soul Siren Nina’s live performance and treated to a gorgeous spread of food. Some lucky guests got to take home QLED TVs, Galaxy tablets and wearables, and even local round-trip tickets, U2 concert tickets, and overnight hotel stays. 

As midnight approached, it was time for the big event of the night. “I would like to personally thank you for your continued patronage to Smart Infinity. At Smart Infinity, it is our aim to constantly elevate the experiences of our members. While the phone is set to hit stores tomorrow, we wanted you all to be the first in the Philippines to receive it—simply because we believe that you deserve it!,” said Jovy Hernandez, ePLDT President & CEO and SVP Head for PLDT and Smart Enterprise Business Groups, who personally unveiled the Samsung Galaxy Fold when the clock struck 12.

The Samsung Galaxy Fold features a 4.6” 1960x840 AMOLED front display and a 7.3” 2152x1536 interior display. It’s powered by the top-tier Snapdragon 855 chipset, and it comes with 12GB of RAM, 512GB of onboard storage, and six cameras to capture the world around you.

Every Smart Infinity subscriber who renewed their plans received the Galaxy Fold 512GB for free, with Smart Infinity Plan 5000 members getting a free Galaxy Fit, while Smart Infinity Plan 8000 subscribers got a free Galaxy Note 10+ handset, Samsung’s non-folding flagship.
