Foster + Partners was tapped by Federal Land, Inc. and SMDC, to design its first residential development in the Philippines – The Estate Makati. In collaboration with W.V. Coscolluela & Associates, Foster + Partners is set to create this iconic luxury residential project. The partnership with the British architectural firm is quite fitting, given that The Estate Makati will occupy the last parcel of prime real estate in the well-heeled Apartment Ridge of Ayala Avenue.

The cruciform design ensures every flat is a true corner unit.

Infusing the same approach with their previous works, and keeping in mind the discerning lifestyle of its future affluent homeowners, Foster + Partners designed The Estate Makati in a cruciform shape, thus allowing utmost privacy and exclusivity. The living spaces are arranged radially, ensuring every apartment is a true corner unit with panoramic views of the city.

The Estate Makati features 2-bedroom, 3-bedroom flats and multi-level sub and super penthouse suites.

Foster + Partners infused a unique combination of function and form. A unique feature of The Estate Makati is the double-slab technology and column-less layout of each unit, supported by a concealed cantilevered beam design, that allows homeowners flexibility in customizing their units without having to disrupt the neighbors above or below.

Double-glazed windows are also angled by 10 degrees to provide shade, minimal exposure from the sun’s rays, and privacy yet still offer scenic views of the city.

Common areas of The Estate Makati are also meticulously designed using only the finest materials. Residents will be transported to their home in the sky via expansive private lifts from the lush driveway and exquisitely-designed lounges, where guests can be entertained in pocketed areas surrounded by beautiful landscaping.
