The National Museum complex reopens in celebration of Rizal’s birthday

A self-guided “Rizal Trail” showcasing the museum’s collections about Dr. Rizal is the highlight of this reopening

Following the recent reclassification of industries allowed by the IATF to operate under the General Community Quarantine (GCQ), including allowing tourism sites to operate on a limited capacity, the National Museum of the Philippines (NMP) is once again open to the public.

On Saturday, June 19, the NMP Complex in Rizal Park, Manila will be opening its doors in time for the celebration of the 160th birth anniversary of National Hero, Dr. Jose P. Rizal. As a special feature, a self-guided “Rizal Trail” highlighting museum collections about Dr. Rizal, will be available to visitors. 

The NMP will open on a limited and restricted capacity in compliance with the government’s health and safety protocols and policies. This means only those who are 15 years old and above will be allowed in the museum; proof of age will be required upon entry. Senior Citizens will also be admitted upon presentation of their two-dose or full vaccination record. Acceptance of visitors is limited to 100 individuals only for each building per session and is scheduled from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm for the first session, and 1:00 to 4:00 pm for the second session with cut-off time at 11:00 am and 3:00 pm, respectively.

Those who wish to make a visit at the National Museum of Fine Arts, National Museum of Anthropology, and National Museum of Natural History should make an advanced online booking at http://reservation.nationalmuseum.gov.ph and are encouraged to download the StaySafePh mobile application for their advanced health status declaration. Group reservations are limited to five persons only. There will be no walk-ins allowed.
