“Lift your head, baby don’t be scared, of the things that could go wrong along the way...”

These lyrics from the Eraserheads’ classic anthem “With a Smile” have provided solace and comfort for many Filipinos over the years. When you think about it, it is a much needed anthem for these times. Which makes this music video, an initiative of the Department of Tourism, composed of existing footage sourced online, directed by veteran advertising guy Joel Limchoc, and produced by Steve Vesagas, such a comforting gesture. The video is all about our everyday acts of kindness despite the dire circumstances we currently find ourselves in. With the arrangement by Malek Lopez and the voice of young chanteuse Bea Lorenzo, the video is expected to lift our spirits and make us, well, smile behind our masks.
