Look who’s getting an immunity boost from this mobile wellness van

No need to visit their clinic

When we’re too tired, lethargic, or stressed due to work or lack of sleep, we usually load up on vitamins, add an extra hour of shuteye, or eat our greens. A vacation would be great but who can afford to be away from work in this economy?

Good thing we recently found out—thanks to David Celdran’s Instagram post—that there’s something else we can do to help our bodies recover faster from the stressors around us. We can book REVIV’s IV (intravenous) therapy for a home service, if we’re unwilling to visit their flagship clinic at One Bonifacio High Street Mall in BGC. The UK company’s wellness mobile will park right in front of your house, then you can avail of any of their drips—all in 60 minutes tops.

According to their website, REVIV offers five types of IV therapy. Ultraviv aids in recovery from common colds, seasonal allergies, the flu or even a hangover. Hydromax helps the body rehydrate quickly after exercise (recommended for athletes and fitness enthusiasts).

Megaboost increases the body’s strength and energy levels. Vitaglow detoxifies the body and promotes cellular repair, in effect slowing down the effects of aging. Finally, Royal Flush combines the elements of Ultraviv, Megaboost and Vitaglow into a single therapy.

A teleconsult with the brand’s in-house doctor helps the client make the right decision as to what IV therapy is best suited for his or her needs.

But is IV Therapy better than taking vitamin pills?

While both contain the vitamins and nutritional value our body needs, IV therapy is directly absorbed through the veins, “allowing instant absorption with optimum efficacy,” says our interviewee from the brand who requested his quote be attributed to the Reviv medical team. “Since the infusion is done through the veins, the effects of IV therapy are immediate.”

Each patient has different levels of vitamin and nutritional deficiency, so a medical screening is necessary before an IV therapy. Clients need to pass the REVIV medical eligibility and screening policy conducted by its medical team before the boost can be administered. “The purpose is to reduce the adverse events and negative outcomes,” the team says.

The prices of the IV infusions range from 4,990 to P18,990. They also offer booster shots (or vitamin injections), which are priced from P1,490 to P2,990.

Reviv caters to a wide range of clientele. Among their brand ambassadors include writer-model-entrepreneur Celine Lopez, Unilever’s head of public relations Apples Aberin, actor JM Rodriguez, fitness trainer Vince Velasco, and Casa Mercedes creative director Monchet Olives.

Founded in 2011, REVIV currently has branches in six continents and 41 countries. Its products are recommended for ages 18-65 years old. However, for ages above 65, a thorough medical assessment shall be done by an in-house physician and medical director to make sure clients are qualified to receive REVIV IV treatments.
