Sharon's ice cream ad remake nears 4 million views

Megastar Sharon Cuneta recently starred in a remake of an ad she did for premium ice cream brand Selecta in the 1990s, much to the delight of her fans.

With more than 3.9 million views on YouTube as of this writing, the ‘#AngSarapUmuwi’ ad recreated almost scene by scene the ice cream brand’s iconic commercial, dubbed ‘After Work.’ However, instead of shutting out the world and enjoying ice cream on her own, the new ad shows Cuneta sharing cups of the sweet treat with her children, who decided to return home instead of braving the heavy metro traffic when shown their favorite ice cream by their mom.

The two videos amused fans because the differences they showed reflected the changes in the actress’ life. While in the 90s, the Megastar had KC, her family has since grown with ‘ate’ joined by three siblings. For the actress, it is still fun to sit back and relax with one’s favorite ice cream, but it is now even better when surrounded by loved ones, particularly her beloved children. After all, sharing is indeed caring.

After the post edged close to 4 million views, the Megastar thanked her fans and Jesus Christ for the milestone, calling it “a gift” in her post on Instagram
