This collaborative initiative is working towards eradicating hunger by 2030 and achieving SDG2 (Sustainable Development Goal 2) in the country. </p><p>Knorr Philippines officially joined the Zero Hunger Alliance, signing a Memorandum of Agreement at the sidelines of the Zero Hunger Summit recently held at the Ateneo De Manila University. </p><p>Together with Century Pacific Group Inc. and Gawad Kalinga Community Development Foundation Inc., Knorr joins in its advocacy to build ecosystems where every family has access to nutritious food and opportunities for a healthy life. </p><p><strong>The 5M approach to zero hunger</strong></p><p>The Zero Hunger Alliance has developed a 5M strategy to address hunger: <em>Magtulungan </em>(help each other), <em>agpakain </em> (feed),<em>Magpakalusog </em>(nurture), <em>Magtanim</em> (plant), and  <em>Mag-connect</em>  (connect). </p><p><em>Magtulungan</em> is in recognition of the magnitude of the problem of hunger and how meaningful partnerships are key to helping progress against the issue. </p><p><em>Magpakain </em>refers to supplemental feeding for vulnerable sectors. As an organization, ZHA aims to provide 10 million meals for 500,000 children in adopted communities by 2025. </p><p><em>Magtanim </em>allows communities to supplement their nutritional needs. The pilot run includes a feeding initiative for 300 children and nutrition education for 300 adults.
