SM opens country’s first smart parking system 1

SM launched the country’s first-ever SMart Parking facility that is armed with superb European technology to give the best shopping and parking experience to its patrons.

Established at the National University Mall of Asia (NU MOA), the SMart Parking aims to roll out top-notch features in other buildings located at the MOA Complex and major SM Malls. This includes a mobile app that will allow mallgoers to effortlessly find parking in the complex and pay for their parking fee.

With this, people can now ensure their vehicles’ safety and security through the attached CCTV cameras on each parking slot. These cameras enable constant coverage on every spot and react to movement.

The NU MOA Building also assigns a Parking Concierge to assist parkers with various amenities such as tire and battery supply, auto mechanical and electrical services, locksmith services, carwash, towing services, police assistance, and ambulance services.

This parking system also boasts of a unique and advanced “Find-My-Car” service by utilizing License Plate Recognition (LPR) that would help car owners and drivers to search for their cars without sweat most specially during high-volume occasions.

LPR can read all vehicle license plates aside from informal and temporary plates, particularly those that feature the LTO conduction sticker.

The “Find-My-Car” feature is accessible through the building Parking Concierge, where they will be assisted by the concierge attendants.

SM’s VIPs can as well dispense their plate numbers in advance for their vehicles to be recognized upon entry. Colors can also be assigned to a parking slot so they can easily identify and locate their reserved parking.

The SMart Parking can be integrated with third-party systems and value-adding services in the complex. Customers can get parking for free when they purchase tickets for concerts at the MOA Arena, while others can get updates on digital promos, fun deals, events, and more through cross-promotion features in the parking system.

Parkers and mallgoers alike can eventually experience contact-less payment via their debit and credit card.

The SMart parking system, which occupies NU MOA’s 2nd to 6th levels, is open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. with a parking fee fixed at P50. It is located at the Coral Way, MOA Complex beside the Shrine of Jesus the Way and across SMX Convention Center.
