LBC holds So Shop! bazaar for online sellers

LBC’s So! Shop became a venue for social sellers to showcase their products. Customers were treated to a day of shopping and meeting the owners of their favorite online shops.

Entrepreneurial efforts are slowly dominating the Philippine business landscape. With operative access to technology, this comes as no surprise. Most online-based business owners have seen an impressive rise in sales and clientele.

Logistics company LBC Express Inc., along with other institutions that support this growth, continuously displays its commitment to empower micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). 

This year, LBC bolstered its agenda through the launch of 'So Shop!', an interactional affair among business leaders, startups, aspiring entrepreneurs, and shoppers.

"With more and more Filipinos setting up their businesses online, we at LBC believe that it's high time to bring online businesses together, in one venue, and get to interact with their buyers live. So Shop! is our commitment to empowering micro, small, and medium enterprises in the country," said Oliver Valentin, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Philippine Branch Operations of LBC Express Inc.

From gadgets to home and fashion accessories, So Shop! caters to every lifestyle.

During the event, different businesses participated to address the various interests of customers. 

Online gadget shops such as Kimstore, Juan Gadget, Droid Hero, and JBL Store PH comprehensively catered to techies, even offering exclusive deals and discounts. 

Korean and Japanese beauty brands were a hit for makeup lovers., while homemakers on the lookout for early Christmas gifts were treated with personalized home items fit for the season. 

Shoppers also got to enjoy mystery box gifts from participating social sellers and raffled off gadgets.

Hosted by 101.1 Yes FM DJ Rico Panyero and Love Radio DJ Raqi Terra, So Shop! welcomed industry leaders, business owners, and influencers to take the center stage, for talks and panel discussions on how they can grow their business.

Among the speakers during the event was Facebook Philippines Head of Agency Liam Capati, who addressed the power of Facebook ads. He said that it could efficiently get customers' attention especially when cutting through the clutter in the online space. 

Canva Community Team Lead Gladys Lacorte underlined the pivotal role of visually appealing social media pages in the overall growth of business. 

While Creative Boss Founder Rachell Araja-De Luna emphasized that a the major fundamental of online businesses is a credible and competent website. 

PLDT Vice President for Digital Strategy and Consumer Disruptive Business, and Unbox.ph founder Carlo Ople articulated how to leverage the power of digital in businesses, focusing on effective tapping of online communities to reach a specific target market.

Chief Marketing Officer of LBC Express-Global Marketing Javier Mantecon closes the first-ever So Shop! event by thanking all the participating sellers and customers who showed, making the event a true success.

"As the e-commerce community continues to grow, LBC remains your partner. We hope that this is just the beginning of our long partnership. We want to help you take that move, wherever that may be," Valentin said.

The So Shop! Expo, which brought together over 100 online business owners, thousands of shoppers, industry leaders, and influencers in one venue, served as an innovative move to improve the retail landscape in the country.
