With social media on a roll for being the most celebrated and populated communication medium today, the opportunity to document and share stories, and probably earn from it, has become endless.
Filipinos are known to be one of the most active users of social media and digital video – spurring the continuous rise of vlogging and video streaming in the country.
Focusing on this rising popular demand, global mobile brand OPPO worked on a breakthrough that has specs ideal for videography. Their latest innovation aims to help make content creation for Filipino story makers become easier and more convenient whenever and wherever they are.
"With the quick rise of storytelling in the form of videos may it be on video streaming sites or social media platforms, we saw a need for smartphones that can deliver top quality video output," OPPO Philippines Marketing Director Raymond Xia said.
OPPO strengthens its claims to be the "selfie expert" brand with better camera capabilities through the release of Reno2 series. The latest model boasts a high-quality quad camera setup, consisting of a wide-angle, primary camera, and long-focus lenses with equivalent focal lengths of 16mm, 26mm, and 83mm, respectively.
"We understand how expensive vlogging cameras can get and how hard it is sometimes to carry along such gadgets when you’re moving from one place to another. Thus, we’ve amped up our smartphone videography features which you’ll find in the new Reno2 series," Xia added.
The third leading brand in the world and one of the market leaders in Southeast Asia and the Philippines created a fully-employed image fusion technology through Reno2 that enables seamless 5x Hybrid Zoom and 20x Digital Zoom transition for that crisp, ultra-high-quality imaging in long-distance scenarios.
"Since we've also further developed our smartphone videography features, we've decided that it was just fitting to put out an advanced quad camera setup that can be maximized not just for photography but also for videography," Xia explained.
Equipped with a 6.5-inch, improved sunlight AMOLED panoramic screen, the set enables Ultra Steady Mode and Electronic Image Stabilization features that accurately compensate shaky shots and enhance image fluency. It also has an Ultra-wide-angle video shooting, reaching from 116 degrees up to 119 degrees.
This smartphone also carries a 16-megapixel sliding shark fin pivot structured front camera to support soft light and ultra-clear backlit shots, and also comes with SOLOOP, a smart digital video editor which makes piecing together a montage of your adventures easier than ever before.
There is also a pre-installed Audio Zoom function in Reno2 that helps induce sound amplification to allow efficient filming amid strong winds or on a bustling street.
With its myriad of features, the OPPO Reno2 series caters to millennial and Gen Z individuals who are known to be 'digital natives.' The latest series was said to be designed with the young generation in mind — their lifestyle, digital consumption, behavior, and interests.
"As we've upgraded both the photography and videography features of our cameras for the Reno2 series, we're excited to see what kind of stories will be made by the Filipino consumers with Reno2," Xia said.
The Reno2 series is available in five colors: Sunset Pink, Ocean Blue, Luminous Black, Sky White, and Lake Green.
Reno2 retails at Php28,990 while Reno2 F retails at Php19,990. Pre-order starts from October 18-24 and will officially be available on October 25 in select OPPO stores nationwide
