From sandwich filling to pasta topping, cheese serves a multitude of functions. It can also be paired or mixed with almost anything: meat, macaroni, rice, fries, or even vegetables.
Because of its distinct flavor and its versatility, cheese has come to appeal to people across cultures and ages. Most importantly, it is loved by kids -- notoriously picky eaters.
However, there are those who seek a "milder and milkier cheese experience", said Cheez Whiz Philippines brand manager Rachelle Virata.
With these consumers in mind, Mondelez Philippines, maker of Cheez Whiz, created the newest member of its family: Cheez Whiz Mild.
The new flavor was unveiled Wednesday in Bonifacio High Street. Hosting the launch was actress Dimples Romana, who reflected on how Cheez Whiz has long been a part of her household -- from childhood to motherhood. With the introduction of the Mild variant, Romana noted that Mondelez Philippines has "created another family tradition."
Gracing the launch was 'momfluencer' Rica Peralejo who said the new product means "another range of things you can do for snacktime." Peralejo said she is thinking of using Cheez Whiz Mild on pasta sauce.
Meanwhile, Romana said the new Cheez Whiz Mild variant can probably be used on steamed fish.
Families can enjoy the new product however they like, said Virata. They can also be assured that more than being tasty, the new Cheez Whiz Mild also has Calcium, Phosphorus, and Vitamin A.
Cheez Whiz Mild comes in two sizes: a 220-gram jar for P83.00 SRP and a 62-gram pouch for P25.75 SRP, and is available in all leading supermarkets nationwide.
