MANILA – From playing cameo roles in commercials and shows, Nadine Lustre has transformed into one of the most popular actresses today.

The 22-year-old already starred in blockbuster hits like “The Diary ng Panget,” “Para sa Hopeless Romantic,” “Talk Back and You’re Dead,” and the most recent, “This Time.” She also portrayed the courageous Leah in the hit primetime series “On The Wings of Love.”

Currently, she stars in ABS-CBN’s new series “Till I Met You,” where she is teamed up anew with real-life boyfriend James Reid.

But with fame comes bashers, who revel in putting down popular stars.

Lustre is no exception. In an interview with the Philippines’ number one face care brand, Pond’s, the young actress revealed some of the worst criticisms she received. One comment she can’t forget was when someone told her that she will never make it because she looks “ordinary.”

Despite this, Lustre persevered in showbiz as she chooses to stay positive.

“I told myself, I’m going to improve. I’m going to be better,” she emphasized in the interview with Pond’s.

For instance, she makes it a point to take care of her skin.

Lustre revealed a simple yet effective beauty regimen, which has helped her maintain a rosy white glow amid her hectic schedule. She regularly uses Pond’s White Beauty Cream to start her day.

Powered by a clinically proven formula and advanced pro-vitamin B3, Pond’s White Beauty Cream works deep on the inside of the skin for a rosy white glow. Because it is a cream, Pond’s White Beauty can last all day with a powder finish you can instantly feel.

And Lustre is definitely satisfied with the results. When asked about the best benefit she gets from Pond’s, the actress said it gives her confidence to face anyone, anytime.

Looking back at her journey, Lustre realizes that bashers will always be there. But they can inspire you to improve yourself and do your best to achieve your goals no matter what.

“They told me I was never going to make it, but here I am!” she added. “And if it can happen to me, it can happen to anyone.”
