Nowadays, it seems as if every business, both big and small, are finding their home in the online space. As online selling becomes increasingly the norm, many are finding a steady stream of income in e-commerce, while giving customers an easy way to buy necessities and discover new things to love.
Recently, a mobile application that aims to provide Filipinos with an easy and safe way to engage in community selling has been launched in the market.
Slip is an all-in-one community app that lets users interact with friends, neighbors, and customers to explore new hobbies in their area and earn money by selling products.
Through Slip, new brands, small businesses, thrift stores, physical communities, and hobby groups now have a platform where they can build their online presence and foster a growing community.
Here are what users can enjoy when they download the app.
Real-time photo (RTP)
This feature allows users to request a photo from the seller in real-time. Photos will have a Slip watermark embedded to guarantee the current condition of the item being purchased. It will also give buyers assurance that the seller has the item on hand.
QR Code Receipts and in-chat payment confirmation
An in-chat bubble will be available for the seller once the payment is confirmed and successful. This feature helps get rid of fake deposit slips and avoids the hassle of collecting multiple proof of payment photos from buyers.
Users can also buy and sell tickets for concerts, festivals, and live events where a QR code will act as the event ticket.
Sellers and buyers can track their transaction activities under the transaction history tab. This feature helps track successful and legitimate transactions. It also removes the hassle of listing down all the sales in an excel sheet or another platform.
The Slip application is not just a platform for stores and merchants, it is an interactive app that allows users to chat, like, comment, and join discussions with its Slip Stream feature. The Slip Stream functions as a livestream where sellers can sell their items in real-time.
Slip Public Marketplace
The app allows its users to sell their items both within a specific community that shares the same interest and at a large scale through the Slip Public Marketplace feature.
Buyers will have a smooth online shopping experience as they can browse through items that are categorized according to their interests.
Aside from the usual interactions, buyers can put a claim on an item through the Mine feature. This helps both buyers and sellers identify which items are still available and open for transactions.
Apart from prioritizing safe and secure community interactions, Slip has partnered with payment gateways and banks to allow users to instantly cash out their earnings or transfer directly to their bank or e-wallet.
It also allows users to buy directly from their peers and transact instantly via credit card, GCash, PayMaya, and even direct debit from their UnionBank, BPI, or BDO accounts. This gives both the buyer and seller a smooth transaction and a variety of easy payment methods.
As many people rely on community selling apps and e-commerce, Slip plans to roll out features that will allow users to book delivery services, load their Slip Wallet, and pay bills in the app. To meet growing demands, users will also be able to showcase their skills and post freelance opportunities through Slip Gig.
The Slip app is now available for download via Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
