Camaraderie in the streets is important, especially if you are in a two-wheel vehicle like a motorcycle. That is why choosing the right motorcycle and a motorcycle club that suits you may be two of the most crucial starts of being a rider.
Yamaha Motor Philippines wants to elevate the experience of riding by creating a community with people of the same interests which is why the Yamaha Club (YClub) was created in 2010. It is a club consisting of different Yamaha motorcycle-riding communities from all over the country.

To date, they have 56 accredited motorcycle clubs nationwide, "Groups pa lang 'yun, but the members reached 30,000 members accredited by Yamaha nationwide. Hindi lang sa Luzon, we also have in Visayas and Mindanao," explained Chairman Cruz, Yamaha Motor Philippines' Marketing Customer Relation Assistant Supervisor.
(Those numbers were only the number of clubs accredited nationwide. In total, the number of members reached 30,000 members accredited by Yamaha nationwide. Not only in Luzon, but we also have members in Visayas and Mindanao.)

Being YClub member comes with perks and exclusivity, "Halos lahat ng event namin very generous si Yamaha sa pag-sponsor at support sa amin. Kapag lumapit kami sa Yamaha, nagbibigay
sila ng mga pinamimigay namin sa mga bata na beneficiaries namin sa mga charity rides namin," says Cherrylene Mendoza, the club president of Yamaha SZR PH who has been YClub member since 2015.
(Yamaha is very generous in sponsoring and supporting our events. When we reach out to Yamaha, they always provide the things that we give to our children beneficiaries in our charity rides.)
Jack de Guzman or Papa Jack for his Vegafone Mantis Riders Club, expressed his gratefulness to be part of such group from the start. "Yamaha Club group, actually it is not a group, we are family. 'Yung buong grupo Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao may miyembro, kaya magkaroon ka man ng aberya may tutulong at tutulong sayo. Kumbaga mayroon kang pamilya saan ka man mapunta."
(Yamaha Club group is not only a group, but a family. The whole group in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao have members who are willing to help when you are having troubles on the road. Simply put, you have a family wherever you go.)

Yamaha acknowledges the groups' contribution to the club, "Walang ibang manufacturing na merong ganitong kalaking community of riders na nagsasama-sama, nagtutulungan in promoting Yamaha as a brand", reiterates Chairman Cruz, Yamaha Motor Philippines' Marketing Customer Relation Assistant Supervisor.
(There is no other manufacturing who have this big community of riders who join together in promoting Yamaha as a brand.)
More than just a ride
YClub members do more than just ride. Each kilometer run has the purpose to reach out to far-flung communities that are inaccessible by four-wheel vehicles.
"We really put our efforts sa activities na hindi nararating ng mga four wheels at motor lang makakarating. Nagagamit namin into a productive way at meaningful way 'yung passion namin to ride," say Cherrylene Mendoza, Club President of Yamaha SZR PH.

Through the support of Yamaha, YClub members are able to sustain their cause and reach their goals as a group, "Hindi kami 'yung nag-activity lang. The groups also created their own activities na supported ni Yamaha. We are also sponsoring them, 'yung mga maliliit na activities gaya ng gathering, touring, eyeball, and charity rides," explains Cruz.
(We are not just doing activities for the clubs. The group also created their own activities that Yamaha supports. We are sponsoring them in their small activities like gathering, touring, eyeball, and charity rides.)

(For the Yamaha Users, I can only say that you are not wrong in choosing the brand. All you have to do is pick a club and be part of YClub. For those who are planning to buy a motorcycle, choose Yamaha because in Yamaha we have lots of fun. We treat each other like family)
