“Every day that you wake up, you’re given the chance to be the best version of yourself." This is Sam YG’s life motto and one of the the activities he feels helps him become just that is racing. What gets his heart pumping is attempting a quick overtake to steal the top spot at the last second.

“This actually happened in 2015 when I tailed Phoemela (Baranda) in the Vios Cup. We were both leading the race but I made a sudden maneuver during the last lap by leaving her tail and making a sudden acceleration. I actually won that race literally by a second. What got me shaking though was how dangerous the maneuver was. At that speed, the slightest turn would already cause me to lose control,” he recalls.

Another speed freak is Joyce Pring, who juggles singing, sports, being a radio jock on Magic 89.9, and hosting both events and TV programs. Thanks to Mountain Dew, she can fuel herself to keep up with all these passions.

Just like Sam, Joyce also loves to get behind the wheel and race. The sheer adrenaline from the high speeds and sudden turns are usually enough to get your heart pumping but she’s already been conditioned to these after all their races.

“The most exciting thing about racing for me is probably knowing that one wrong move could lead to serious consequences,” explains Joyce. “We’re usually dressed in a lot of safety gear so it’s all safe but the idea of wrecking your car if you go too fast or make a turn too soon really gets me all hyped. While I love winning races, it’s really more about the thrill of the competition.”

In order to keep their focus and avoid mistakes no matter how minor, Joyce and Sam down a bottle of Mountain Dew before every race to help them make the turns just in time and at the right speed. In a sport as intense as racing, there is no room for error and Mountain Dew keeps them focused enough to get to the finish line as fast and as safe as possible.

Jugs Jugueta of "It's Showtime" lives on a different kind of fast lane as a musician with his band Itchyworms. When performing, Jugs has a bottle of Mountain Dew between sets because it refreshes him and supplies him with the energy needed to continue rocking out. It even his mind alert when composing songs.
