2021 is looking bright for Philippine startups as they gear towards progress and overcoming challenges amid the new normal.

According to a report by PricewaterhouseCoopers, majority of startup founders are scaling up and are confident about the prospects for revenue growth. The Philippines is also said to have a more promising and stronger startup ecosystem, after the signing of the implementing rules and regulations for the Innovative Startup Act or Republic Act 11337.

Pinoy startups brim with potential as they are borne out of talented and innovative minds. Its solutions lend a helping hand to the nation's health crisis recovery process, as new ideas drive the future of nation-building. 

However, many aspiring entrepreneurs struggle to turn their ideas into reality as they lack support. 

One program that seeks to support these entrepreneurs is Shell LiveWIRE.

Shell LiveWIRE is the enterprise development program of one of the global energy leaders Shell, which hopes to strengthen local economies by promoting entrepreneurship and innovation. 

Originally started in 1982, Shell LiveWIRE is recently launched in the Philippines with a nationwide search for startups. The program energizes Filipino entrepreneurs to move forward, most especially after the impact of the health crisis on the economy. Pinoy entrepreneurs are invited to join with the aim of developing their enterprises and to create meaningful job opportunities for fellow Filipinos.
