For everyone who has been on a business trip overseas, it just always seem that there’s not enough time to go sightseeing.
In Japan, however, there are actually ways to set aside time for a little enjoyment and exploration. And by traveling with Japan Airlines, you can be more in control of your schedule, with their varied and convenient flight routes and schedules. So if you have a trip to Japan lined up, here are some ways you can make the most out of your business trip with these helpful tips.
Get a head start in exploring the city
Chances are, you’d be flying into Japan through the Haneda Airport in Tokyo. Consider getting an early flight in, as Japan Airlines has flights that arrive in Tokyo as early as 4:55 a.m. That way, you’d surely be able to make the most out of your time. Do a little research as well on what spots there are to see around the area. This gives you more time to enjoy each place, as well as to know the best way to travel from one place to the next.
Find morning tours in Tokyo
Japan is known to have such beautiful sights in and around the capital. A good number of these sights are best appreciated early in the morning, such as various temples, cultural areas, shops, and even the Tokyo Skytree - which is why you can actually find sightseeing tours catered particularly to early risers. If work for you doesn’t start until lunchtime, then this may be the best and most convenient way to get around and appreciate your stay in the city.
Relax at an Onsen
Perhaps the most rewarding gift you can give yourself when visiting Japan is to relax at a Japanese hot spring, or as it is more popularly known, an onsen. Especially after a busy workweek, your body will definitely thank you for a treat such as this. With onsens usually open for the most part of the day, as well as being open until early in the morning, any time you’d find a window of free time in your schedule, you’re likely to be able to squeeze this quick recharge in.
Eat authentic Japanese food at the Tsukiji outer market
Even though the main fish market of Tsukiji has already moved out since the latter part of last year, there are still shops, food stalls, and restaurants in the area, that make going to the original Tsukiji market worth going to! Shops open as early as 5 a.m. and don’t close until around 2 p.m. Since starting your day early is your best bet at exploring, the Tsukiji outer market should definitely be on your list.
Find connecting flights to see more of Japan
Since you are already in Japan, why not explore other places outside of the capital? There is so much to see around the country, and with easy access too. Check out Japan Airlines’ domestic flights from Haneda, and pick out the best ones that fit well within your travel plans. Regardless of what destination you choose, you’d be sure to have a great time.
