Showing appreciation for homegrown talent, smartphone brand OPPO earlier this month supported a music festival which featured some of the country's finest hitmakers.
The final night of this year's University of the Philippines (UP) Fair, February 17, saw OPPO giving all-out support for bands such as Sandwich, Imago, Orange and Lemons, Urbandub, IV of Spades, Autotelic, Pedicab, and Ben & Ben.
In partnership with the UP Economics Society and the UP Underground Music Community, OPPO built an arcade Hoops Booth where students vied for the highest score. Winners went home wit brand new selfie-expert OPPO F5 smartphones.
And while everyone waited for their favorite bands to play, some fair-goers also took the opportunity to take selfies with OPPO F5 phones, which feature a 20-megapixel artificial intelligence-powered front camera.
According to OPPO Philippines' PR manager Eason De Guzman, the brand's support for the 2018 UP Fair is in line with its advocacy of celebrating music, youth, and life's precious moments.
"We wanted to be a part of this initiative because OPPO believes that every moment in our life deserves to be captured and treasured, especially for the youth," he said.
