Spring is one of the most anticipated seasons in Japan because of its stunning cherry blossoms or sakura. Tourists from all over the world flock to the ''Land of the Rising Sun'' to marvel at its many views as they get enveloped in majestic pink flowers.

Kapamilya star Robi Domingo is a huge fan of sakura season. In his latest vlog, Domingo remarked that witnessing sakura last year was one of the best experiences of his life.

"It feels so surreal kasi napapanood ko lang 'yan sa pelikula. Ang ganda, promise. If I were you, you should try it out because it is an experience you will never ever forget," he said.

This year, the actor plans to go back to Japan in spring and explore Tohoku, a region in the east, to enjoy cherry blossom viewing. To do that, Domingo shared in his latest vlog that he is going to use the JR EAST PASS — a pass that will allow him unlimited rides on all JR East lines in designated areas in the Tohoku region.

In his vlog, the television host shared the top six spots that he plans to visit in Tohoku, which are dubbed as the best places to witness sakura in the area.

According to Domingo, cherry blossoms in Tohoku are best seen at Hirosaki Castle (Aomori), Hanami Mountain (Fukushima), Kitakami Tenshochi (Iwate), Saigyo Modoshi no Matsu Park (Miyagi), Kakunodate (Akita), and Atsumi Onsen (Yamagata).

"If you will go to the Tohoku region, don't forget to get your JR EAST PASS because it is the most economical way to go around. One pass, unlimited rides," he shared.

If you are from the Philippines, the JR EAST PASS can be purchased online via the JR East website or through accredited travel agencies like JTB Philippines and H.I.S. Philippines.
