Wilcon Depot takes tremendous amount of hard work to continually mark its legacy as the country's leading home improvement and construction supply retailer. 2017 is really a momentous year for them. Here are some remarkable highlights of Wilcon Depot: 

1. THIRD WILCON CUP

Third Wilcon Cup

Held last January, Wilcon Cup, an annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, is an Invitational Golf Tournament that started year 2015. Third Wilcon Cup was participated by over a hundred of architects, industry professionals, and select suppliers, media partners and customers. The event does not just promote camaraderie among others, but it is for a cause that seeks to assist Wilcon Foundation's free education programs and to help Crocodylus Porosus Philippines, Inc. (CPPI) in their commitment to preserve the Philippine crocodiles. 

2. INITIAL PUBLIC OFFERING

Wilcon Depot joins Philippine Stocks Exchange

Wilcon Depot then set its foot in the Philippine Stocks Exchange last March for its initial public offering (IPO) in the stock market. An IPO means bigger things for the company. It translates to more store expansions and raising the bar in the industry. Wilcon aims to build a total network of 65 stores nationwide by 2021. Wilcon Depot, Inc. (WLCON) was the first company to Debut at the PSE in 2017 and successfully priced its P7 billion IPO at P5.05 per share.

3. SUSTAINABILITY IS THE NEW GREEN

To provide better home solutions to homeowners and enthusiasts, they also launched their newest campaign – Sustainability is the New Green, where they promoted products that conform to the Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) factors such as durability, easily recyclable or reusable, free of toxic materials, energy efficient, zero or low emissions of toxic chemicals, manufactured in a low-pollution process, and low maintenance. These products are made available and showcased inside the store. Wilcon now aims to go beyond its status of being the number one home building store, it also wants to help consumers make better choices for their home with the use of sustainable products, for the benefit of future generations.

4. PRODUCT LAUNCHES

Wilcon introduced a variety of new products and services this 2017.

Covering a wide range of product offerings, Wilcon gave new, exceptional and convenient ways of shopping. Every customer can now enjoy the visual delight and hands-on experience of Wilcon's exclusive brands after launching their Living, Kitchen and Bath (LKB) showrooms. These showrooms are thematically designed to give a complete look for your next home ideas that will surely spark your imagination in creating concepts or remodeling your living, kitchen, and bath areas. Also, to meet the market's need for more energy efficient and quality lighting products, Wilcon launched a new product line, Alphalux, a lighting solution that can surely offer brighter savings and satisfy every home enthusiast.

5. WILCON ACHIEVEMENTS

Wilcon Depot received two awards from the Philippine Retailers Association.

Wilcon Depot was recognized as the “Outstanding Specialty Retailer-Mega Category” by Philippine Retailers Association (PRA) and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) during the 20th Outstanding Filipino Retailers and Shopping Centers of the Year (OFR-SCY) Awards last July 26, 2017. Aside from that, Wilcon's very own William T. Belo received the prestigious recognition for the 12th PRA President's Award and was hailed as the “Patriarch of Home Building Retail” for his valuable and commendable leadership that contributed in transforming the retailer industry.

6. WILCON 40 YEARS RAFFLE PROMO

Wilcon launched a raffle promo to celebrate its 40th year in the industry

In making every shopping experience more exciting and with the intention of giving back to its valued customers for their unceasing loyalty and patronage, Wilcon celebrated its 40th anniversary with 'Wilcon 40 Years Raffle Promo,' a month-long promo where P1.6 million worth of prizes were given away. 40 lucky winners received P40,000 worth of Wilcon e-GCs. It's one way of fulfilling its promise in building big ideas and continuing to give the best kind of promo offerings for its clients.

7. 40TH STORE ON ITS 40TH YEAR

Celebrating its milestone in the industry, Wilcon Depot inaugurated its 40th store on its 40th year in Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija last November 17, 2017. With its goal to cater the needs of Filipino homeowners and builders outside Metro Manila and continually bring its top tier products and satisfactory customer service, Wilcon opened five new operating stores this year including Butuan in Agusan Del Norte, Bacolod-Talisay in Negros Occidental, Cagayan De Oro in Misamis Oriental, and recently opened in Jaro, Iloilo City. 

8. GOING BEYOND HOME BUILDING

Wilcon Depot strengthens its commitment to building, bringing opportunities, and serving the Filipino people.

Wilcon continues to sustain its growth not only in building bigger ideas for every home, but also in providing greater opportunities in serving the Filipino community. In extending its helping hand, Wilcon donated P6 Million to Gawad Kalinga Community Development Foundation Inc. for the construction efforts of building 80 houses in Sulu last February and another P1M to charitable institution in helping the Marawi City siege survivors. Recently, Wilcon also handed over a check worth P1.8 million for the purchase of a brand new Isuzu 10-Wheeler Fire Tanker to the community service arm of Bacolod Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (BFCCCII) — the Chamber Volunteer Fire Brigade (CVFB). Wilcon also pledged P1M to support the advocacy of Philippine Red Cross (PRC) for disaster management, health, safety and social services.
