KABUL - Afghanistan's Independent Election Commission held talks Monday about whether to scrap a run-off presidential poll and would likely make a decision on Tuesday, a senior official told the Agence France-Presse.
"The meeting of our board of commissioners started today and is still ongoing. We're discussing the issue of whether to go for a run-off or not," chief electoral officer Daoud Ali Najafi said.
"Most likely we'll reach a conclusion tomorrow."
