MANILA, Philippines – The defending champions Ateneo Blue Eagles bucked another scare, nipping the Adamson Soaring Falcons 79-72 in their second round meeting in the UAAP Season 75.

Kiefer Ravena and Nico Salva came up big in the clutch to eventually pull away from Adamson who led for majority of the game.

With the victory, the Blue Eagles bounced back from their shocking defeat against the UE Red Warriors last week.
The Eagles also clinched a spot in the UAAP Final Four for the 14th consecutive season.

Salva tied his career-high with 24 points while Ravena finished with 15 points and three steals.

In the second game, the National University Bulldogs outplayed the De La Salle Green Archers, 72-62, in their second round match-up.

Reigning MVP Bobby Ray Parks made sure the Bulldogs would get their revenge, as he scored 32 points on top of eight rebounds and three assists.

With this victory, the Bulldogs boosted their chances of making it to the Final Four with a 7-4 record, overtaking La Salle for solo fourth place in the league standings. --Mornings @ ANC, September 10, 2012.
