MANILA, Philippines – A near altercation at the end of the UAAP game between rivals Ateneo and La Salle stole the spotlight yesterday, as Blue Eagles head coach Bo Perasol had to be restrained from going after a heckler.
Perasol was leaving the court after Ateneo’s 64-66 loss when he suddenly rushed at the stands, apparently in rage.
Perasol pointed at a spectator at the La Salle side of the patron section, who was standing a few rows from the baseline. The coach tried to jump over the baseline barrier, but was prevented by Araneta security and his staff.
Cooler heads eventually prevailed as Perasol went to the locker room, while the alleged heckler was escorted out by security. Mornings @ ANC, September 2, 2013
