MANILA, Philippines – The giant Olympic rings which were on all Games branding at London’s Olympic Park have now been replaced with the Paralympics logo.

The sign is called the "agitos," which means "I move" in Latin.

The Park has been transformed into a suitable venue for the Paralympics, with widened ramps and doorways and different seating.

One example is the transition taking place at the Athlete’s village.

It has taken just five days to transform a village that hosted over 10,000 Olympic athletes to host 8,000 Paralympic athletes and team officials, 1,000 game officials and 22 assistance dogs.

There will be about 2,000 wheelchair users in total. -- Mornings @ ANC, August 23, 2012.
