MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) was rocked by game-fixing allegations from one of its own players this Wednesday.

On his Twitter account, Barako Bull center Don Allado claimed PBA games are fixed.

Allado made the accusation after his team was eliminated last night by the Powerade Tigers in the ongoing Governors’ Cup.

PBA commissioner Chito Salud vehemently denied Allado’s accusations. He likewise clarified that the suspension of referee Peter Balao immediately following the game was due to a missed call and not because of Allado’s statements.

Salud has summoned Allado to his office tomorrow to explain his actions.

Allado has since deleted his controversial tweets and has refused to be interviewed. Top Story, ANC, July 4, 2012.
