MANILA, Philippines – Pound-for-pound kings Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao are the top money makers in sports this 2012.

Mayweather, who is currently incarcerated for domestic violence, topped Forbes’ list of the 100 highest paid athletes by earning $85 million in the past 12 months.

The Pacman, who lost his world welterweight belt in a controversial match with Timothy Bradley, is a far second with $62 million.

Forbes explains that unlike Pacquiao, Mayweather has his own promotional company, which directly collects the revenues from his fights.

Golfer Tiger Woods is third on Forbes’ list, followed by NBA superstar LeBron James and tennis star Roger Federer. Dateline Philippines, ANC, June 19, 2012.
