Nietes retains title via unanimous decision
MANILA, Philippines – Donnie “Ahas” Nietes retained his World Boxing Organization (WBO) light-flyweight crown by outpointing Mexican challenger Felipe Salguero in the main event of Pinoy Pride XIV last Saturday at the Resorts World Manila.

With his victory, Melindo is now a potential challenger for the WBO flyweight championship, which is held by fellow Filipino Brian Viloria.
In another undercard match, Genesis “Azukal” Servania crushed “The real” Genaro “Poblanito” Garcia via a sensational stoppage in their 12-round slugfest.
