The NBA trade deadline has lapsed and there are no blockbuster trades to talk about.

Instead, teams went for subtle changes in their lineups to make a playoff push.

The Atlanta Hawks, who were reported to have received numerous offers for talented forward Josh Smith, decided not to deal Smith, who will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.

The Hawks instead exchanged wingmen with the Mavericks, sending Anthony Morrow to Dallas for Dahntay Jones.

Perhaps the biggest trade that was consumated was Orlando sharpshooter JJ Redick going to the Milwaukee Bucks who shored up their backcourt in time for the postseason.

The acquisition could also mean that the Bucks might trade one of their backcourt stars, Monta Ellis or Brandon Jennings, when the season is over.

Meanwhile the Boston Celtics also decided to hold on to veterans Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett.

Instead the Celtics made a minor tweak, acquiring Wizards guard Jordan Crawford, while giving up injured guard Leandro Barbosa and Jason Collins. – ANC Dateline Philippines, Feb. 22, 2013
