MANILA, Philippines – President Barack Obama played host to LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat at the White House.

Obama honored the Heat for its 2012 NBA championship, the second NBA title in franchise history.

After losing the first game of the Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Heat won four straight games, clinching the championship with a 121-106 rout in Game Five.

Obama praised the team’s tenacity and trust on each other, while James thanked the President for “allowing them in the White House.” -- Mornings @ ANC, January 29, 2013
