MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Golf Open, considered Asia’s oldest national golf championship, is putting up a record prize of $700,000 or roughly P30 million for this year’s tournament.

Organizers hope the huge pot will attract the best golfers in the world, including rising star Filipino-Australian Jason Day.
