Rains destroy 100 homes in Naic

Strong rains due to typhoon "Gener" and the southwest monsoon destroyed at least 100 houses in Naic, Cavite.

Eight towns in Cavite have been placed under a state of calamity due to the devastation left by typhoon “Gener.”

Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla said rains continue to pour down on the already flooded areas of Bacoor City, Kawit, Ternate, Noveleta, Rosario, Naic, Ranza and Cavite City.

Authorities said worst-hit by the floods are Bacoor and Rosario, where floodwaters are chest-deep, particularly in Barangay Habay Uno and Barangay Ligtong 3.
