A 10-year-old girl was found dead in Rosario, La Union last Saturday.

The victim, identified as Gemmalyn Estrada, was found with wounds in various parts of her body at the vacant lot in Barangay Udiao at around 5:30 p.m.

Her two arms were also pinned under two large rocks. Police said the rocks may have been used to prevent the victim from moving while she was being raped.

Gemmalyn’s mother, Emilia, said her daughter left their house at around 9 a.m. that same day to play.

The victim’s body underwent autopsy to determine the cause of her death, and if she was indeed raped.
