MANILA, Philippines - Senator TG Guingona III on Monday said the New People's Army should surrender its members who were involved in the Gingoog, Misamis Oriental firefight targeting his mother's convoy.

Guingona said surrender will prove that the rebels are sincere in apologizing for the incident.

He said the rebels who attacked his mother's group should face prosecution. He said he believes the NPA intended to kill everyone inside his mother's vehicle.
