MANILA, Philippines - The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has opened three pedestrian lanes for Persons with Disabilities (PWD), to celebrate today's International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

The said pedestrian lanes were launched along Aurora Boulevard corner JP Rizal, Aurora Boulevard corner Cubao, and one at Santolan Road corner Marcos Highway.

MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino  said the lanes will be equipped with an audio warning device to alert PWDs when it is safe to cross the street.
