At least 190 kilograms of tainted meat, also called “botcha,” were seized at the boundary of Caloocan and Manila past midnight Friday.

Two people, including a minor, were arrested. The suspects said the meat was supposed to be delivered to Divisoria.

They claimed to be working for a certain Alice, who pays them P200 to P250 each.

The tainted meat were placed inside eight plastic bags and two woven bags (bayong). – Umagang Kay Ganda, July 6 2012
