Driver hurt as truck rams concrete barriers on EDSA

A driver of a 14-wheeler truck was injured after his vehicle rammed a row of concrete barriers along EDSA on Wednesday night.

Timoteo Reyes sustained head and leg injuries after his truck crashed into a row of concrete barriers near a flyover on EDSA-Kamuning.

It took rescuers about 25 minutes to remove Reyes from the wrecked truck.

Reyes was then rushed to East Avenue Medical Center for treatment.

Reyes’ passenger, Jeffrey Reyes, said the driver may have fallen asleep while driving. – Umagang Kay Ganda, May 17 2012
