The Light Rail Transit Authority is ready for the anticipated huge turnout of passengers who will be joining the Black Nazarene feast on Wednesday in Quiapo.

The LRTA assured the riding public that security is in place and that there are enough help desks, medical personnel and Red Cross volunteers in their stations, particularly in United Nations Avenue, Carriedo, Doroteo Jose and Recto.

The management will also allow barefoot passengers to board trains but clarified that the LRT is not offering free rides to devotees. - Umagang Kay Ganda, January 8, 2013
