Diving operations for the retrieval of the bodies of the pilot and co-pilot of the ill-fated Piper Seneca that crashed off Masbate Saturday have been  suspended after a German volunteer diver came out of the sea foaming at the mouth.

The technical diver was initially taken to a hospital but was subsequently sent back to a Philippine Coast Guard ship to be treated in a decompression chamber.

Search and retrieval teams earlier recovered the body of Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo from the crash site.

The bodies of Capt. Jessup Bahinting and his Nepalese co-pilot, Capt. Kshitiz Chand, have yet to be retrieved. Jeff Canoy reports. ANC, August 21, 2012
